FISH

It is said that there are about 20,000 species of fish and that approximately 1% of Americans are allergic to some of them. Allergies to fish can manifest as reactions to a single type of fish or to several types of fish, depending on the person.

Proteins in the meat part of the fish usually trigger the reaction, but gelatin in the skin and bones can also trigger the reaction.
