Meet the Co-Founders

Cheri Dion

Co-Founder / Chief Marketing & Operations Officer

Since co-founding AAT’s digital evolution in 2005, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Chief Marketing & Operations Officer, playing a key role in our growth and transformation. From the start, my vision has been to not only lead our marketing efforts but also shape the creative and strategic direction that defines who we are today. I’ve always focused on building AAT’s brand identity and operational strategy, making sure we push boundaries while staying true to our core mission. A significant part of this vision was my work on the graphic user interface for the AAT software, where I aimed to create a simple and intuitive experience for practitioners, ensuring the technology is both easy to use and effective.

I’m passionate about giving our practitioners the tools they need to thrive—not just in delivering treatments but also in effectively promoting AAT. I’ve concentrated on developing comprehensive, high-quality marketing materials that empower them to spread the word, build awareness in their communities, and attract new patients.

Before AAT, I gained valuable experience in creative direction and marketing while working with leading brands. I had the opportunity to collaborate with industry giants like Warner Bros., Macy’s, The Gap, and Neiman Marcus, where I led national in-store launches for brands such as Nike, Calvin Klein Jeans, and DKNY. My time at Warner Brothers International Studio Stores took me to global markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Australia, where I provided creative and visual direction for all franchise locations outside the U.S. These experiences sharpened my ability to navigate diverse cultures, ensuring that each market’s unique nuances were reflected in the brand’s messaging and execution.

At AAT, I strive to go beyond traditional marketing. I focus on building a strong brand identity that reflects our core values while making sure our messaging resonates with our audience. I believe that creativity and strategic vision must work in harmony, and this approach has been key in positioning AAT as a leader in our field.

As AAT continues to grow, I’m excited about what lies ahead. My role is more than just a title; it’s about finding new ways to push AAT forward while staying true to our roots. Expanding into global markets is central to that vision, ensuring our technology reaches practitioners and patients worldwide.

Outside of AAT, I’m passionate about personal development and frequently attend events to broaden my knowledge and connect with thought leaders. I also dedicate time to mentoring the next generation of marketing professionals. Living near Lake Tahoe in Northern Nevada, I enjoy traveling, exploring different cultures, and spending time hiking or mountain biking on the trails around the Sierra Nevadas.

DeBritt Ealey, L.Ac

Co-Founder / Chief Clinical Officer

As a co-founder of AAT, I’ve been deeply involved in its growth and evolution since 2001. As Chief Clinical Officer, I oversee both the training and clinical aspects of the therapy and have personally trained over 400 AAT practitioners worldwide, helping them successfully integrate AAT into their practices.

From AAT’s early development to its global reach today, I’ve contributed to every major innovation, from software and protocol development to treatment implementation, developing our online training program, creating and managing the AAT digital library of over 65,000 substances, which helps practitioners deliver accurate assessments and personalized treatments. This has been a key factor in AAT’s success.

I continue to lead clinical trainings for AAT practitioners, ensuring high standards in how the therapy is applied. I also provide hands-on support to practitioners, answering clinical questions and refining best practices as we grow.

I’ve played a significant role in expanding AAT into international markets like Australia, Japan, Canada, and the U.S. and my experience launching and managing multiple seven-figure AAT clinics overseas has contributed to our global presence.

In addition to my leadership role, I maintain a private practice as a licensed acupuncturist in Northern Virginia. This keeps me connected to what practitioners face daily and informs my commitment to improving and expanding AAT. I also collaborate with experienced AAT practitioners—including doctors, chiropractors, and naturopaths—on ways to enhance treatment outcomes and broaden our reach.

I’m passionate about improving patient outcomes and love teaching, finding fulfillment in training practitioners to incorporate AAT into their practices. I’m also a lifelong learner, continuously studying health and wellness for both the body and mind. I believe that with the right tools, the body can heal itself. When I’m not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my husband, traveling, and staying active outdoors.
